Our proposal intends to confer a strong, identifiable ensemble layout to the entire Bacelo Village, happening in 3 main strategies:
- The reordening of the urban fabric trough the restoration of a typical model identified in the place – the “patio”, a particular mediterranean type of courtyard – generator of a matrix on internal growth and space densification, occupying intersticial areas broken up in the core of great existing blocks and conferring to them visible and functional acess.
- The rearrangement of the boundary stip between the mountain range of Serra do Louro and the urban gathering, changing this agricultural zone into a new one, whose ancient agrarian stucture can be generator of a distinctive stong image of this zone itself and the adjacent area relations it performs.
- The establishment of a new apex of centrality formed with a set of cultural equipments and public spaces of intrinsic urban character, related trough a large environment park wich also constitutes the landscape framing of Quinta do Anjo prehistoric caves, valuing its patrimonial significance.
